Today's location brings us down another alleyway in search of great coffee. Sorry Coffee has a very Canadian name but it's the Australian influence that leads to a surprisingly flavourful twist. Sandwiched between L'occitane and Hermes and behind their parent store, Kit and Ace, in the boujee Yorkville neighbourhood, you feel as though you are on a mini adventure. The store gets to the point with small standing room and the coffee bar being the main attraction. Most customers are there to fuel up quickly and return to their office or a lunch time stroll, so this location has catered to that need and does it well.
The oat flat white ($5.37) is strong, just what you need to keep you going on a full day of shopping the Yorkville strip. Their take-away cups always have the cutest designs, but as we all know, coffee cups are a massive strain on the environment - Queue - the Reusable Cup Program, Sorry’s answer to becoming a more sustainable venture. Just download their partner app, search for Sorry and scan the QR code to receive your coffee in a mug to take with you - free of charge! Sorry offers a range of merchandise from branded tumblers and T-shirts to stocking their own coffee brand. There are the usual sweet treats to accompany your drink, but the coffee is the clear standout for this hidden sanctuary.
A much needed respite, Sorry provides the the perfect opportunity to drop your shopping bags and relax for a while before heading out again to tackle the chaos of Bloor St on a Saturday afternoon.
