Toronto is known for a few things, the CN Tower, The Raptors, The Bluejays…..and well, Drake….we all love Drake OK. What it's definitely not known for is coffee. When I moved to Toronto from Melbourne, what I really struggled with was the BAD coffee they were serving up - burnt, weak or way too milky and in weird tall glasses - if you can think it up I’ve drunk it.

 

Being from Melbourne means you know everything there is to know about coffee (obviously) so in the spirit of passing along the knowledge I thought I would help any homesick Aussies or curious Torontonian's with a few cafes that have consistently served up delicious coffee. This isn’t a traditional review site where everything gets a lookin, No! Only the best of the best gets highlighted here!

 

 A few things:

 

1. My go-to coffee is an oat flat white unless it’s a hot day and I’ll get an iced Americano (long black) with a dash of oat milk of -  You can safely assume all coffees are strong, not burnt and have micro foam

 

3. I will be noting when a place includes a discount when you bring your own reusable mug (BYOM) -       because we are all about savings in this house and coffee is getting more expensive along with             everything else.

 

4. All prices listed are inclusive of tax. I will never understand the need to separate it and I think most       Canadians would agree - Just trying to make your life that little bit easier!
